This depends on the size and layout of your campervan.

Most Campervans do not have the space or layout to accommodate a toilet or shower. However there are many add on options such as a small portable toilet to stow away under the seats, and gravity fed portable showers for outdoor use.
At Bridgewater Campers we also have the ability to specify a campervan layout which includes a fully fitted cassette toilet with electric flush, and the option of a shower unit with 12v electric pump. If you want an integrated solution, talk to one of the Bridgewater team and we’ll be happy to discuss bespoke facility options with you.

Where and when you can park a campervan largely depends on whether you have been granted permission from the landowner.

The lines on whether it is legal to park on the side of the road are blurry and sometimes confusing, so if you’re unsure whether it’s legal to park somewhere, it is best to avoid doing so. Instead, look for dedicated camping sites as well as pubs known as ‘stopovers’ that will allow you to park overnight.

Always do your research before setting off on a long journey, so you know exactly where you can and cannot camp along the route.

Campervans can be covered by car or van insurance depending on your insurance provider’s policy and the specifications and dimensions of your campervan. It is best to double check with your insurance provider before making any decisions.

Standard campervan vehicles will have space for two single beds or a double bed, making use of the rear seat or seats to make a 2 berth Camper. In addition to this, it is possible on a camper with a Lift Top roof or High Top Roof to install an upper bed which could sleep a further 2 people subject to height and weight limits.

When you’re spending a substantial amount of money on a camper, we want you to have exactly what you’re looking for. Bridgewater Campers are able to offer modifications to our in-stock campers as well as create a bespoke camper.

Depending on the time of year we can have a van sourced and converted in 4 to 6 weeks.

You will be able to drive your camper away within one hour of test driving it, as long as you bring your bank card and 2 forms of ID.

Come and have a chat with us. We regularly source new stock, and we may have the perfect van due to arrive imminently. Alternatively we can modify stock vans or build a new one for you. One way or another we will be able to help.
